Join Blue Mountains APS for a visit to a private rainforest garden in Springwood. This garden has been developed over more than 27 years by Bill, reflecting a long-standing passion for rainforest plants. Beginning on a ridge and sloping in an east to south-east direction, the garden supports a high diversity of species, with around 100 species planted to date and low mortality.
Plants from east coast rainforest, riparian areas, and rainforest margins are well represented throughout the garden. During the visit, Bill will discuss both the personal benefits of creating this garden and its broader role in mitigating bushfire impacts and providing other environmental values.
