Join North shore APS this June 14th for speaker Kelly Bollinger.

Kelly is the Nursery co-ordinator at Warada Njurang Hornsby Community Nursery at Pennant Hills. She follows on from the much respected Ross Rapmund who looked after the nursery passionately for over 15 years. She runs the nursery with a dedicated team of volunteers growing plants for the shire’s natural areas, community plantings, schools and the twice-yearly Native Plant Giveaways.

Kelly has been enjoying plants and the outdoors all her life. With a love of flora and fauna she likes to capture it with photos and art for fun. She has been working in horticulture for 25 years at native nurseries, gardens and golf courses and prides herself on the variety of plants she has grown over the years. She has a passion for the Proteaceae family of plants especially east coast and rainforest species and her and her husband's garden appeared on Gardening Australia back in 2010. Kelly continues to enjoy learning and relearning many things about native plants.

Kelly will be talking about growing local plants for the Hornsby Shire and how the process happens from seed collection to planting and will touch on how this is done at the Quarry.

Time:  7.30 pm arrival for a 8pm start.

Plants for sale, library & supper.
