North Shore - Monday walks & talks

About the Walks & talks
Hear a talk by members of the North Shore group of the Australian Plants Society then be guided on a walk in the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden to see and learn about our focus species as they come into flower.

All welcome. No prior knowledge is required and information sheets are provided.

Term 4 - Summer (most sessions in terms 2-4 include talk and walk)
Mondays as follows:

Oct    9   Walk only: West Mueller track return 1pm

Oct  16   Waratahs and other members of Family Proteaceae

Oct  23   Callistemon, Kunzea and Melaleuca (Family Myrtaceae)

Oct  30   Leptospermum and Baeckea (Family Myrtaceae)

Nov   6   Grasses (Family Poaceae)

Nov 13   Euphorbaceae & BBQ and planning W&T 2024

Meet at 9.45am at Caley's Pavilion in KWG. Sessions run for about 2 hours, unless a later return time is indicated. No bookings necessary. Sessions are free.

Walks are easy / medium. Wear a hat, suitable footwear and bring water / snack. Also consider sunscreen and insect repellent.
