Australian pea flower study group - Pea forage weekend

This is an opportunity to learn how to recognise pea flowers and identify different genera, or simply enjoy the hunt

While the itinerary is still being finalised, below is a rough guide to give a feel for the weekend and help participants plan their accommodation.


Saturday

  • Brisbane Water National Park (BWNP)
  • Warrah Trig to Warrah Lookout (Doyle's Track)
  • Van Dahl's Fire Trail
  • Girrakool Loop Track, Somersby (Park Fees Apply)
  • Time permitting - Konda Rd North Fire Trail

Sunday

  • Wyrrabalong Coastal Walk starting from Crackneck Point Lookout
  • Kincumba Mountain Reserve
  • Bouddi NP via McMasters Beach
  • The Wildflower Meadow, Erina Heights (last stop Sunday)

Registration is open to members of any state APS who are also members of the study group. To join email fabpeamail@gmail.com. Join APS NSW here or find out about your state's organisation here.

To register for the weekend, please email names of everyone in your party, including a contact mobile number.

Participants are required to make their own accommodation and travel arrangements.
West Gosford has been chosen as the base for the weekend as there are several motels in the area and West Gosford shopping village is nearby. If you prefer to stay in a caravan park, NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort at Umina Beach is close to the starting point for Saturday. A meeting point will be provided for the start of each day as participants will be approaching from different places.

A group reservation will be made for dinner on Saturday night.
