Newcastle - Monthly outing: garden & bushland

Mark Abell will lead the outing.

Meet at Birchgrove Drive Wallsend.

First there will be a short look at a private garden & propagation setup, before heading up the hill around 10:45 am to the end of Bellinger Close Wallsend.

The group will look at the bushland at the back of the John Hunter Hospital, before the new bypass goes through. They have started to mark out the areas to be cleared and have done some work at the back of the hospital. Whilst not peak flowering time, there is normally plenty to be found & enough tracks through the area to provide lots of interest.  The area covers a few different habitat types and some threatened plant species as well.
