Angela (Angie) Michaelis is qualified horticulturalist and enthusiastic bushcarer well-known especially to the members of the Parramatta Hills group. Angie has been a popular speaker at many previous meetings.
Angie learned about native plants when helping her husband Mark Ferrington run the specialist Sydney Wildflower Nursery West for nearly 20 years. She now lives in inner-city Sydney where her small back garden has only one sunny corner.
In more recent times Angie has written some entertaining and informative articles for the group's newsletter Calgaroo on the influence of Ancient Greek on some botanical names of Australian plants. Drawing on her extensive experience as a gardener, propagator and bush regenerator, Angie will be sure to inspire those of us with shady spots in our gardens. Enquiries apsparrahills@gmail.com
