Wednesday 24 November, 7.30pm – Quarterly gathering by Zoom – Plants in containers
Ros and Ben Walcott are the leaders of the Australian Plants for Containers Study Group of ANPSA. We produce 2 Newsletters per year which describe our member’s experiences with the plants that they grow in pots. We have a large native garden in Canberra (see walcottgarden.com) but also have a large collection of about 120 native plants in pots, some small but many large.
This talk will present some of the many reasons we grow plants in pots with lots of examples. We will also discuss potting mix and our favourite types of pots.
This presentation is also designed to encourage members to become involved in the small gardens interest group to be established and to support members who live in the inner city or in apartments on the types of plants that they can grow given their restricted spaces.
